Here you go. Reason has won out. Hopefully the prices will not continue to escalate. This one did not sell.

Nice score Ted. It was only in the fall of last year that I paid $300 for one and thought I was crazy.

Interesting, last summer I bought one for $125.00! These things are better than the stock market!

I can't for the life of me understand why these CS's go for so much money. Do they play and sound so much better, is it the name, are they super collectible, if so, why? I don't understand it, someone enlighten me please.
Hey, where's the announcements section?

Count me among the baffled. I love my V63 which is very similar but I would not pay $3K or more for one.

Like anything else (and as I've said before), it all comes down to being prepared to pay for something you want. It tends to be that the people who like em REALLY like em...like me! To me it's mainly about aesthetics; I love how they look. Others maybe don't. If you don't like them obviously you're not going to see why anyone would want to pay a lot for them. Case in point for me would be a 4002; I know it's rare and probably great but if it wasn't for the fact that I could sell it on at an enormous profit I wouldn't pay for a 4002 what I'd pay for a decent 4001; I just don't like how they look. Bar the bolt-ons (which I REALLY don't like; sorry Jeff!)I think it's the least aesthetically-pleasing Rick ever made, but that's just my opinion; if someone else likes it, fine. Collectibility is different things to different people IMHO. Although I'd be quite happy for the prices to come down by say, $2500? Yeah, a $500 CS....I'll have 5 thanks....

Shaun, I think the 4004LK wins the least aesthetically pleasing. I figure the reason the run is taking so long is nobody wants to work on it. I know for some it looks great, for me all that carving is just a waste of good wood ...
