Well, not quite. Apologies to Modest Mussorgsky!
The pics aren't great but I'll get it right eventually. Note the quality background - best bricks I could find!!
A pensive 660/12........
Many would kill for a body like this....
In theory there should be a head for every body..
And just to prove that two is better than one....

Gotta love that Fireglo!
I never really noticed how bigger the 330 is to the 660.
And don't worry your pictures are fine, real nice.

Thanks, Patrick. The first RIC I ever saw was Fireglo and that's always been the definitive colour to me.
Interesting comparison, isn't it? The 330 looks like it should be up around your neck while the 660 should be around your knees ('Please Mr. shopkeeper, have you got a strap twice as long as this one?').
Could be a new thread - 'How low do you go?'.
Thanks for the compliment on the pics - not too shabby compared to my last lot!!
Cheers
PS. Love the name Patrick. I'm half Irish (be nice!!) and there are many members of the family bearing the name. My son bears it also!!

Those twins pics look real fine, Howard! FG is a spectacular and unique finish, and with those gold guards on the 660-12, it gets set off just right.
The bloody nubs problem can be solved by wearing a welding glove on your left hand.

They are gorgeous Howard (the bricks too). Nice flame on that 660 upper wing!
Congrats!

Thanks, yeah I've got some Irish blood, my grandfather's father came to Canada when he was a year old.
I guess with a name like Pat Magee it would be hard to deny an Irish decedence!
I still haven't seen a Fireglo guitar in person, I can't wait to.

Howard, Peter should probably add the headstock shot to this page:

I'd vote for it to be added.
There's not any Fireglo w/ gold TRC so it would be a nice addition to the page.
Plus the quality of the picture is A+.

Yeah ... nice head!!!!
Why do I hear "Brick House" playing in the background? Ah, yes, but those are gorgeous guitars, my friend. I'm thinking I might have to get a companion for my 360. I think she's a bit lonely these days.

Thanks all - I am pretty happy with the headstock shot. Perhaps I should have left the nut in when I did the ol' cut and paste. I can do it again.
Yes Paul, I was determined not to have an only child! There will be more!! As a matter of fact I had a DVD going at the time - Donna Summer live - not bad! My taste in music is very eclectic - most things from Bach onward (except Haydn and Mozart - blechh!).
Thanks for the response, guys.
Cheers

Howard, those are very good photos, and it appears to me that the Fireglo shades have been fairly well rendered.
I think it was my maternal great-great-great-great-grandfather who immigrated to the then-colony of Maryland from Ireland in the mid-1700s. The derived family name was "Meskimmen", but it's thought to have been originally something like "McSimmon".

Thanks, Gary. Mid-1700s eh? My Irish half comes from my mum (mom in USA?) who was a WWII war bride. Her family name is Woods - not terribly exciting! Unfortunately she left us on New Years Day.
I wonder if the shading on a Ric is similar to the quality of motor vehicles? Never buy one that was made on a Monday or Friday!!
Cheers

Very nice Howard. You've got an excellent looking pair.
BTW, how do you like the higains on the 330? At least you have the toasters on the 660 to compare (even though its a twelve).

Actually, Bill. It's toasters all round. The 330 has them too so I can't compare. Give me a bit of time and my next Ric will have hi-gains.

Beautiful pair Howard, love that fireglo on the 12. Must get round to photographing mine.
