I think they were there for quite some time; I think one of them was even offered on eBay and didn't meet the reserve.
Gee, it would take me some time to replicate that "custom" wear pattern on the back of the neck on the one:
Besides, my 4001 Ruby has white plastic/chrome parts:
But at $999, it would be tempting to sell it ...

I don't know what the reserve is but I asked to buy outright and they said $1900. That is ridiculous. I don't even think my Shadows are worth $1900 each.

Sean, both of those reds are on their way to me....I will have pics posted when they get here. The Ruby is hard to get and I had to trade to get both but I felt that it was worth it..
