ya ... I do have a weakness for 2000 series basses ... the 80's models have a nice single coil bite ... the 90's models are thunderous ... I wonder if that one is really the mettallic red or if it is the tomato red ... pics would be nice ...
I took my new 2020-5 out to play last night and I was getting some of the Geddy Lee type By-Tor and Snow Dog sounds out of it ... it was snarling like a junk yard dog and grunting like a pig when I hit it hard ... but it was also sweet and mellow when I plucked it gently ...

the one at the bass palace is midnight blue ... I just sold a bass that was blue becuse I was tired of the color ...

...the blue is very nice looking, but kind of gets lost to audience view when you are wearing a pair of blue jeans.
