Ric painting

OK, I know it's shameless self promotion, but I thought that some of you may be interested! I am a pro musician, but when I have time, I paint. I have a small reputation in this field & some one suggested that I paint Rics, so here is the first. Hope you like it!
Haven't decided what to call it yet....ideas?

Tony: We can handle a whole lot more of this sort of "shameless self promotion." This is fine work indeed.
To my eye, I especially like the way that the bolder lines of the instrument standout against the gentle contours of the background. Whether it is through the image or the sound Rickenbacker is a standout no matter what the context.
Do you mind me asking how large the original is? I would love to see your second Rickenbacker painting.

Peter, the painting is acrylic on canvas & measures 32x24". Quite small for me, as I normally paint 'interiors' & 40x32" is my usual size. This one has yet to be 'touched up', then varnished, then sold....sometimes, not always in that order. I am working on a 325 at the moment, with 'F' hole & accent vibrato. It will probably be another fireglo...I like FG. I painted this one in a formal setting, because to me, the 360v64 is king. I painted a Gretsch before this in a slightly less formal setting, as is the 325 I am working on at the minute.
Because I have a certain reputation for my 'style' of painting, it was a challenge to paint accurately enough to satisfy my own desire to render the guitar properly, but 'loose' enough to satisfy my exsisting clients. It worked though, because I sold the Gretsch painting within a day to one of my regular clients. I am so pleased with this one though, that I may leave it on my wall for a few days.

Tony, very nice work!
If you ever get around to it a painting of a Shadow would be interesting and I could be interested!

I'm impressed, Tony!!
I've tried my hand at watercolours (mostly bush and seaside stuff) but decided to leave it all in the cupboard until I retire. You've inspired me to rethink that!

I love it, too, but the t-shirt and mug designs that I've been working on will not be discarded at this stage.
This beautiful painting might make an interesting element in the design, though. What say, Tony? We'd give you full credit on each shirt...
