This has appeared on Ebay in Australia. Are these a bit scarce? Looks interesting!

I had one just like that! When I sold it, it was still white. To me, they are not nearly as attractive once they turn yellow. Although others seem to like when it happens. As far as I know it happens to all of them. The yellowing, I mean.

I think this is a very sharp looking instrument. The white finish really sets off the fretboard. I believe that the more recently finished instruments in white remain that way much longer. Perhaps John Hall could comment on whether this perception is true and if so why that might be.

Yes, Peter - the lovely contrast between the fretboard and the body was the first thing that struck me.

Only problem is, black and white are Collingwood colours (and I hate Collingwood!!). However if you treat the fretboard as red, it's St. Kilda, which is much more bearable.

I dunno, Frank. I don't know whether I could buy a used Ric sight unseen. I'd be somewhat nervous about it, but that's just me. Call me a scaredy-cat, call me chicken, call me whatever you like (but don't call me Gladys!!).

I also like to buy new toys.

On the subject of 360s, I tried one out today and found it brilliant! The neck felt very much like my St**t (hate to say it but the neck on that is perfect for me) and I found it extremely playable - more so than my 330 and 660. The neck profile seemed to be much flatter that the 330 especially. The Mapleglo finish was stunning! Only one drawback - it had toasters!! I've got them on both the others and I'm keen to get something with hi-gains next.

The guy was prepared to knock it down from $3599 (the price on the tag - $300 more than RRP) to $2500 if I bought it today. I was sorely tempted but managed to fight. The repayments of the other two are already frightening the bejesus out of me!!

I think I'll let the white one pass and 'save me bikkies' for a 360MG (there are currently two in Melbourne that I'm aware of).

Yep, a 360MG next (unless there's an MB somewhere around - that would be the gnats nuts!!)

I wouldn't pass it by just because it has toasters. You can buy a pair of hi-gains for a whole lot less than you'll get for the toasters if you sell them. Besides, it only takes about 10-15 minutes to swap them out.

Seriously, if you like everything but the pickups, and if you have the scratch, go for it.
