Jeff,
Thanks so much...although looking now the pics don't do the bass, or the pickguard justice. Or, the sound. The toaster delivers much more "low end tone". The hi-gain is much more "crunchy". I'm really happy with the results since I'm more after a McCartney/Motown/'60's sound.
I'm waiting now for my TRC from Chris Clayton of POTR....he's painting it the same shade as the guard so, it should be great. I haven't had the guts to put the screw in the pickguard where the bridge surround is.....I may not to keep the stock integrity.

That's EXACTLY what I wanna do to my 4003S, with a white pickguard of course.

Yes, it's a Pickguardian guard. Tony is a great guy. Well worth the $$$. The guard fit like a glove.

Hmmm, I'm thinking a toaster in my Monty may not be a bad shout as it would be a cool alternative sound to my other 4003!

Hey, Scott,
I like it, too. Is that clear acrylic that is back-painted gold? I noticed the substitution of vintage knobs as well. Nice package.

Scott,
Looks excellent; Pretty cool with the vintage-sized p/g, and it must sound great with the toaster.
Here is a suggestion about the screw in the bridge area:
Last summer I was installing a railing into cement, and 3 of the 4 anchor holes were perfect, but one was dead into the joint between two slabs of concrete. There was no way I could change the location, as it would made the railing off-line from the rest. It was not a load-bearing area, so I cut the head off the bolt and epoxied it into place on the baseplate, strictly for asthetic purposes.
If the P/G doesn't want to lift in that corner, give it a shot---it is a simple fix, and it doesn't alter the originality at all. A dab of super glue would take care of it---if you leave the guard in place when you do it, stick a playing card or something similiar between the body and the guard just in case the glue seaps through.

I, too am a fan of the back-painted gold lucite.
By the way, your C64S is alive and well and was played last night. She'll someday have to be pryed from my cold, dead hands!
