Saw him last night. Two and a half hours of non-stop magic (and bloody load at that)! Had all the usual suspects on stage as well.

Of course it was a Strat and LP feast as well - wonder if he's ever played or even looked a a Ric?

Not like any of us could find it, anyway! I think Mark is a very talented guitarist, with something of his own style. Enjoy his playing very much, and although not the best singer, has an interesting voice.

I agree, Steve. There is a certain 'sameness' about his singing but when he needs to wail rather than do the gravelly 'Tom Waits' thing he's up there pretty good! You can pick his guitar solos a mile away and there is a similar 'sameness' about that which can sometimes be a tad boring.

However, put him on a stage with the usual crew and it can be mesmerising.

I love the stuff that comes out of the LP. I'm trying to track down the make and model of the twin amps he used last night - they were awesome!

By the way, 'bloody load' equates to twice 'bloody loud!!'

Mark is the best! The best guitar-player, the best singer, the best songwriter... oops... No truly, noone can beat Mark's guitar. And his voice gives me chills, thrills, etc. And his songs... well, i never really liked love ballads, but "Romeo&Juliet" is something almost-divine. And he played here, in Russia, and he promised he was going to be back ASAP, still he didn't keep his promise... why-oh?!

Anbdy heard the album Twang - Tribute to The Shadows - Knpfler does Atlantis, he alos played with Hank on a new version of Wonderful Land on one of HM's solo albums.

He's coming anyway, and you can guess i was quite excited about that... until i found out where he would play and what's the average ticket price. Geez. Kremlin is not for 'gods'. It's for wimps. And of course more than $100 for a ticket is a wee bit too steep. Still thinkin'. I mean, here we call it 'zaburel'. Means it's too kinda pathetic. Four years ago he played in Olimpijsky for about $10-20 a ticket. I luvja Mark, but shall i see you this time? I dunno.

Bring out the collection plate for Sheena, boys!!

Good tickets here cost me $95 AUD ($70 US) - guess it must cost a lot to put everything together.
