Amazing!

I'd love to be able to sit down and play that baby everyday.

Beautiful! I have a question about the saddle. Is it compensated? I can't tell from the photo....

Could we please see some closeups of the 6 string! I'm a huge fan and want to see the wood grain of the back and sides. Looks amazing. Might just order one myself but I need more feedback. It seems kind of a dare if you have never seen one or heard one in person to order one ya know.

I did it.... And was not disappointed at all! Every time I pick my Comstock up I am amazed at how good it sounds.... it sounds even better than it looks, if such a thing is possible!

I mentioned Ric acoustics to my local dealer here on Saturday and he went all strange - like he'd seen a ghost. My guess is he's never seen one or didn't even know they existed!!

David,
The saddle on the Comstock is compensated. The Shiloh is not but I believe they're all compensated now. I think I got one of the earlier Shilohs. There was a review in a British guitar rag back around 2000 that reviewed the acoustics and I think they mentioned that all future Ric acoustics would have compensated saddles.

Saddle

Neil, I hope to take better shots of both guitars this week and I'll post more close-ups of the 730S.

Cheers,
Bill

If you are ever in Southern California, I'd be more than happy to meet up with you and let you play my 730L MG! :-)

Well, if you ever find yourself at the end of the world (on Minnesota's North Shore) you can come and try my Comstock! :-)
