Beach cricket, street baseball or backyard hurling, anyone???

Infact, 'hurling' may be the operative word....

My first guitar (mid-60s) was a Zim-Gar, and that fake Ric sure has a lot of Zim-Gar attributes to it. I've still got my Zim, and the pickups, metal plate truss rod cover, and trem unit are identical to the ebay guitar. Amazing what you can do with press-type.

You try to help a guy out, and this is how he repays you:

What are you a NARK or COP or somethig? Or just
a nerdy know it all. This is a most likely made in
japan.Rickenbacker guitar.Obviously not the the
Co. you are talking about. .That is the brand .I did
not paint that on there.

Hard to beat that kind of logic.

And we wonder why the world hates us...

His defensiveness really makes me think he must be reputable.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to grab a felt-tip pen and go draw a Ferrari logo on my Honda Civic. It's a rare made-in-Japan Ferrari, honest!

Scott, you just ran into another example of my two least favorite negative qualities in people.

People can be arrogant; in fact, it often is a quality of people who are otherwise fun to know and verbally joust with.

People are often ignorant. We all have our blind spots and holes in our education and awareness, and in the course of a lifetime we usually learn to welcome enlightment, or at least tolerate it.

But, combine arrogance and ignorance in one person, and you have a dumb schmuck who doesn't want to know.

Lots of those around, and you just turned over a rock (with good intentions) and unearthed one.

BTW, eBay's filled with 'em because the garage sale is the last refuge of scoundrels.

Perhaps the saddest scenario is an arrogant seller and an ignorant buyer. Who knows how many times this forum has saved the latter from the former?

Thanks to all for making the buyer aware, not just letting them beware...

...Howard, I'm no Oz expert, but shouldn't that be 'backyard chundering'? I don't remember if you use a net or a barrel for that game...

"This listing (7313790914) has been removed by eBay or is no longer available ..."

Thank goodness! I saw that monstosity yesterday.

Don't thank goodness, thank JH's legal eagles. S**t like that, mislabelled by an arrogantly ignorant seller, could do a lot of damage to a reputation built by years of hard work and attention to detail.
