Hi, all it's been a while since I've been here! I'm a bass player that dabbles in guitar. I had a chance to noodle on a 650D several years back, and have wanted one ever since. (My '80 Azureglo 4001 has been lonely.) I had a 650D on order at MF last spring, but decided to back out of the order in the fall. Earlier this week, I was out on MF and was surprised to see they had them in stock! One impulse purchase later It showed up today, and I'm impressed. I was looking for a versatile guitar, and the 650D seems to fit the bill nicely. I've always had trouble with traditional Ric necks, which is how I ended up with an SG as my only electric a few years back. I'm glad to say I'm finding the 650D's neck to be as comfortable as I remembered from that brief exposure years ago. I'm rather fond of jangle, but am not really in a position to score a 660/12 just to have it. I'm very willing to live with the limitations of what I can get out of a six. Can anyone comment on how to best occasionally achieve jangly tone with a 650D? Does anyone have any experience with the Janglebox and humbuckers like those in a 650D? |

Kent, can't comment on the 650 D but have had great results from the JangleBox. It was well worth my investment. I use it primarily on my 360/12 but it has given an equally good response on my 360 V, 325, 660 and my others. It does the trick! |

Carey, compared to any of my traditonal RICs, the 650D doesn't cut through the mix. Its a great guitar and I own a few different 650s. |

Thanks, everyone! John, could you please expand on your comment? It seems contradictory. |

I think he just left out a qualifier, like "however". |

Let me rephrase that. I have owned a number of 650s. The 650 is a great guitar. However (thanks Paul), compared to any of my traditional RICS, the 650 doesn't quite cut through the mix. :-) |
