Anyone have any idea when they stopped the practice of putting grommets under the main pickguard, between guard and body? I have been shown a picture of a 1964 Model 1995 Rose-Morris (yes, I believe it's a real export, Jan. 64) that has them. |

Here's pedantic for ya: I assume you mean on standard issue guitars. My vintage 2004 381 has 'em. |

Strike that, Bob. In my early morning bleariness, I misread "pickguard" as "pickup". Mea culpa. |

Bob, the latest I've seen with them was 1963, and this was a guitar with gold guards....YMMV. |

Early 1963, based on what I've run in to over the years. |

Its hard to tell. I have a late '63 625 whose grommets are under the large guard. They have to be.....the neck pickup doesn't have a hole drilled for the wire. (!) I'll post pics when I get a chance. |
