Howdy, My '65 Princeton stays pretty clean for my 620-12 string. A Silver-Face version from the 70's would cost less and still be afordable and portable. Good luck! Respectfully, Larry |

Here's the inside pics of my Premier Model 120. Notice the "Heater Duct Vent" underneath the speaker. I was told once that this was at one time a great idea to break up the back pressure from the speaker, making for a better sound quality. Some sort of sound baffle, if you will. It works nicely for a 50+ year old practice amp. Larry, have you got any pics to share with us on that '65 Princeton? I'd sure like to see it. It's not every day I get to see a vintage Fender amp. |

Rob, I don't have a scanner or I'd be glad to post the pics. I made some photos of it 2 years ago with one of my favorite guitars of ahem, er..another brand. I'll bet the '65 Princeton would sound BETTER with a Rickenbacker and I can't wait to put my 360-6 (Maple-Glo) through her when I get it off 'ay-away It's a mild-mannered amp, making it a good choice for my 620-12 string. I'm keen on turning it up to 10 and putting my 360 through it in another 5 weeks or so. Rob, I'll bug one of my friends with a scanner and see if I can get some pics posted; how's that? Respectfully, Larry Carroll |

BTW, I know that some people must have had a Premier amp at least once, since there were a lot made before their demise in the mid 70's. Has anyone here besides myself and Mitch ever owned and/or used a Premier amplifier? If so, and if enough people here have, I might start another thread on discussing these amps. |
