Every couple of months. His price is a European price--too high for the USA. Looks nice, though. |

Mark I paid about $650.00, a year ago for a "73 FG. I see a fair amount of them. |

Man, what a disappointment. I saw Rare 1971 Ric, and caught a glimse of the picture and thought it was a 4001. My heart is slowing down now. |

I know that there are BIG 480 fans on this forum, but I always played a 4001 bass since '78 & when I went to gtrs, I had to have a 480. It nearly put me off Ric gtrs for life...it was dreadful. Weak sound, whammy bar neck. Thank the lord I discovered the hollow bodies! Sorry to all the fans, but if it was the only gtr you owned, you might feel differently. Now I have 7 thinlines, I quite fancy one again....but not for playing! |

Sorry you had that experience Tony. I have no problems with the neck on my 480 and I love the sound of the high gains. There is nothing weak about the sound thus far. It is also a comfotable player, for me at least. |

Your informed comments make me want to try one again Peter....but I know how I felt at the time. Time is an odd thing, so I will search one out to re-assess. |

Tony: On the other hand, having heard your fine work, there is a chance that you are more forceful in your playing than I am. Let's see, Marshall - FenderTwin, Marshall - Fender Bassman, Marshall - Vox AC-30. To add a bit here. You are a rocker and I am a mocker. |

Peter, I have just had to have some bridge work done on my '97 330, as I hit the strings so hard, that the bottom E string kept jumping out of it's groove. |
