Graham,

The picture above is already 150% the size of the original in a book and it's in black and white!

Darren,

Thanks for the pic. I've never been a big fan of SRV, but pics like that oughta be more widely distributed; might serve to quiet some of the anti-Rickenbacker folks who say that Rickenbackers are too wimpy for "da Blooze"!

There's another pic or two I've seen, including one of his whole band where's he has the back of the guitar showing - I want to say he decorated the back with something or other. Been a while since I've seen it.

Kenny, that one is in one of his biographies. The back of the Ric says "Stingray" in sparkley truck stop letters.

I would think in the recesses of Jimmie's (his less talented brother) closet. After all he supposedly got the rest of his guitars.

Jimmy couldn't play nearly as well as Stevie, but then who could? Jimmy himself freely admitted this and said that when they were kids Stevie was "obsessed" with the guitar.

Still, Jimmy is a very good player in his own right and the Fab T-Birds were a hell of a band.... where are they now?

I heard they broke up. Jimmie did some nice stuff. Six Strings Down was a nice tribute.

But he could not be compared with SRV even on his best night.

I'd love to see that Ric get played though.
