Appears to be one of approximately 5 examples made for a trade show with combo-style solid butcherblock body with German carve on front, Capri style 3-piece glued-in neck (tenon showing on back) and toaster pickups in bridge and neck positions. This guitar appears to be made in the same sequence (and with the same features) as examples with serial numbers C8148 and C8145, which are sometimes designated as 850 Combo SPC but which are model 650 Combo.Stripped down and in need of restoration; one of several 650/850 made in late 1958 with toaster pickup in bridge rather than horseshoe pickup; some without neck pickups are deemed model 650.
