Have a piece of history! This Rickenbacker Bass with a rare fireglow exterior is PRICELESS! No Cosmetic Damage! Kept in a case under the bed for all these years in a smoke-free household. Had bass assessed for needed repairs -- there is a slight neck separation from the first fret to the third (the width of a piece of hair which must be repaired by a Luthier), the second pickup is not functioning (should be replaced with a vintage part), and a pot maybe loose -- typical wear for an instrument this age. Comes with hardcover case and leather strap. Model #4001 and Serial #OL8512. Review vintage bass websites with similar basses for sale and you will see that this is priced to sale quickly. In perfect condition, similar basses are going for $2295 or more. Since this bass needs repairs, the asking price reflects the repair costs. This is a great bass for a vintage bass lover!
