- Rickenbacker 4001, 'Jetglo' bass, 1974, vintage
A nice Rickenbacker of 1974, with serial number NC 1530, which according to Rickenbacker's website means manufactured in March 1974 at the factory in Santa Ana, California.
This is black with white patch protection, ie a Jetglo.
The bass is 43 years old and used but still in good condition. Clearly, it has a few hack at the edges and a piece of paint is missing on the back (luckily), probably stripped of a belt buckle or seat belt. Front side much better.
The bracket to cover the rear pickup is missing. However, it was enough to rest your hand and did not affect the sound. Most mounted it because it was more out of order to play freely.
Overall a very nice bass of high quality with few owners, maybe three. I have owned it for 20 years.
