Posted for sale at Bass Northwest May 25, 2011. Their description: "Here is a great sounding and playing used vintage bass. This one is a U.S. handbuilt Rickenbacker 4001 model that was custom built in February 1974 (serial number: NB 911). The bass features a top bound Maple body with a Burgundy high gloss finish and a neck-through design. The 33.25" scale bound Maple/Walnut neck has a Pau Ferro fingerboard with Triangle position markers and a sleek fast feel. The pickups are the passive Rickenbacker "Toaster" type in the neck position and the "Horseshoe" type in the bridge position. There are mono and stereo output jacks for mono or stereo operation. The bass has that classic aggressive Rickenbacker tone that helped to give many great bass players (Paul McCartney, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Lemmy & others) their signature sound. This bass is in nice condition, comes with a Rickenbacker original hardshell case and is on sale for only
    $2299.00"
