     I purchased this Rickenbacker in London on 27 June 1964. This was the start of the end of my musical career. I was playing with groups in and around London, mainly second liners supporting the main group. At gigs we sat around drinking, smoking and there my memory gets clouded! Whatever happened to the word groupies? I bought my Ricky at the same time Pete Townsend did. Of all the guitars Pete smashed you would never see him destroy his Rickenbacker. I have this memory, and I only repeat it here because I'm fond of the 60's and how I lived them. There we were in Richmond playing with the Stones and Mick, who was strumming my Ricky asked how long did I think this madness would last. We agreed that if we got another two years out of it, we would be doing really well. What can I say, Mick was wrong, and how! Me, I only lasted another year in the business, I really had to get a proper job, so I could feed my family.

    This wonderful guitar is offered in tip top condition. Manufactured in 1964 serial # DC301 (output jack plate). T
