     Filing this one as a 360/12 OS but according to factory shipping records, FK4122 left the factory as a bog standard 330 Fireglo (6-string).

    It is highly suspected that this OS 12-string is either a vintage conversion or a total replica.

    There are inconsistencies with the finish (zero shrinking of the clear, yet its even ambered all over), but no fade lines under the pickguard area. Evenly ambered body, but no yellowing on the fretboard clear coat, showing sparkling white inlays.

    Frets are installed "Martin style" over the binding edge.

    Internal cavity markings do not match those of other late '66 instruments.

    The serial number stamping itself look suspect and there is no "Rick-o-Sound" lettering screenprinted on the dual jackplate (despite having a claimed "mint" finish). Potential issues with the body binding as well, where it meets with the body there appear to be gaps that are inconsistent with other bound 60s era Rickenbackers.

    Listed on Reverb May 4, 2021 and listing subsequently ended by seller.

    [Edit: 2.26.24] Note the apparent overstrike of numbers on jackplate, FK4122, which possibly could have once read FK 4223, or some other set of numbers. This adds further uncertainty as to the originality of this instrument, as expressed above.
