The inlays do not look correct for a 1965 instrument. It is likely a '70s body with an older Jack plate on it.
It is possible that this is an instrument that was returned to the Rickenbacker factory for warranty purposes. At the time the factory would simply take the parts and put it on a new body. That is one scenario that would explain this instrument.
