- A heavily modified v63 bass on reverb out of Melville New York.
Serial number L84828. This bass is finished in the classic Fireglo. Solid body bass with a glossed fingerboard. This 4001 has been modified with Bartolini pickups and a Bartolini preamp. The hardware has been changed Gold as well as the knobs. The plastics have been changed as well. The truss rod cover is original. On the back there has been a battery compartment routed into the body. It appears to be a very nice job with room for two -9v batteries. The cover is black and it fits quite well. There Dunlop strap locks recessed into the body. This bass has a modern sound and the modifications are tasteful. She weighs 9lbs 10oz on our digital scale. The bass comes with its original hard shell case.
