Johnny Marr used Rickenbackers often in The Smiths' early days. "My 330 is my old faithful," he said, "and I've got a 360 as well, the Roger McGuinn one. They're a really big part of my sound; the 330's got so much power to it, and a really thick bottom end as well as the jangly sound. I ought to get away from them, because when you stick your left hand round a Rickenbacker neck, you tend to play in a certain way - well, I do!"

"It was George Harrison who influenced me to get a Rickenbacker: "Ticket To Ride" - what a brilliant song!"
