Subject: "The Wreckers and The Confederates"

Comment: Does anyone have information regarding the Wreckers and the Confederates, early groups of Mike Pender?
Peter McCormack (June 6, 2000)

Comment: "This is a good question that has no answer!! I noticed that the sleeve notes on the Latest Sequel CD of reissues mentions these names again. You will probably be surprised to hear athat these two names are purely figments of my imagination. On our very first album, I introduced these names purely to 'Spice up' the Credits!!"

Subject: Bellzouki 12-Strings Guitar

Question: Mike, would you please comment on the Bellzouki 12 string model made by Dan Electro that you used for a period of time with The Searchers" Also, would you please comment whether it was a single or two pickup model and if it was used in any Searchers' recordings. Finally, do you still have this instrument?
Peter McCormack (November 15, 2000)

Answer: The Bellzouki 12 string was a two pick up model. i didnt really like it that much. It was never used on any recordings. In fact it was a stand in after my Rick was stolen .I had to find a 12 string in stock as it were in Liverpool and it was all i could find .After about 6 weeks my new Rick arrived. Where is it now? Probably been recyled by now!!! I dont have any photos of it unfortunately.
