The new 360V66!

Post by ric330 »

Well, OK, not really....
BUT, I did convert a 2008 360 JG over to vintage tuners and Vintage pickup covers on High Gains and with the smaller 60's shape headstock and Full Width Inlays, it looks pretty close.
It's the closest thing I'll ever get to the rare 1966, only 23 produced, 360 JG 6 string. I even have a vintage case to finish the project.

yeah, I should router off the extra fretboard and move the neck pickup closer to the neck joint ..geez all I'll have to do is fill the old pickup route, route a new pickup hole, re-wire the guitar, bind the shorter fretboard, refinish the guitar....hey wait a minute... this is getting out of hand

Actually, you don't have to rebind the end of the fingerboard, so now you can do the mods and feel better about it.

You know I think you're right, they didn't bind the end of the fretboard back then when there were less frets...
I can probably set this right by tomorrow morning after a few more beers..........

After the party we throw for my Wife, Mother, and Grandmother over here today, the way I feel after the beer and wine I think I better leave her alone...the guitar that is :D
