What's going on......?

Post by tony_carey »

I know I've been out of it for a while, but scanning the Ric ebay listings, I can't believe the prices of parts.

£26.99 for a set of vintage knobs!!! How can a small bit of moulded plastic be worth just over a fiver??
£7.99 for a case key!!!
£24.99 for that little bridge cover...at least it's metal, unlike the...
£37.50 for a bass pickup cover...isn't that plastic?
£24.99 for a pick up selector switch.

Am I the only one here who thinks this is total madness? I want a Ric polishing cloth but don't really want to re mortgage my house, so I'll just stick to a duster.

By the way....just bought a 360 with the most beautiful dark FG. Pics to follow.

I'll put a RIC decal on that duster of yours for only £10.99.

Thanks Johnny, I might take you up on that, sounds like a bargain.

I've just seen a trapeze tailpiece for....wait for it...£125!! I'm useless at metalwork, but give me bit of metal & a hacksaw & I could probably make a passable job of one.

Totaly crazy... :?

£125 is cheap - £169.99 is standard price, when we can get them.

As for the cleaning cloth - these do just fine at £2.99 for three. Pure cotton toweling, wash them to get super soft... and they take the Scratch-X/Zymol very nicely.

I like the Trapeze, but didn't get on the with Accent - too many tuning issues.

I like the trapeze it works well but the Accent reminds me of Tony Blair.`You do the thinking`
