Who's in the Chicago area?

Post by ben_brown »

I need an empty case picked up in the western suburbs of Chicago and shipped to me.
I think it's in the Aurora area.

I'm in Chicago(and I'm a super nice and helpful guy!) But I'm sorry, I just have way too much I need to get done around the house in the near future to justify spending an entire day driving out to Aurora and back, packing up a bass case and bringing it to a UPS facility.

In the past I've given parts and time to fellow forum-ites. I don't regret it and I'll do it again when life slows down for me, but...why can't the seller box it up and ship it himself? Its really not that hard to do.

(Steve is thinking: "Yeah, thanks for nothing, buddy! Image)

But hey, the more we keep bumping your thread up to the top, the more likely it is that somebody closer to Aurora might see the thread and offer to help!

The seller doesn't have a box and would have to go buy one.
I figured who would have a box to spare?
Hmmmm.... That's right! All my bass playing buddies on the forum might have a spare box laying around.

Mmm. Looks nice. Are there any in color green available?

Tell them to go to the local music store.

I'm right by O'Hare (Des Plaines), which is at least 40 miles from Aurora. Sorry!

I live in the Chicago land area (southwest suburbs). I'm in school right now in Carbondale. Funny thing is that I'm going to school to be a funeral director and I enjoy your picts of empty CASKETS. haha. The only case that I have has my rick in it, sorry. Image

See! We are nice guys in Chicago! Image Its just that with traffic being as bad as it is, it just makes a whole lot more sense for the seller to find a box and ship it. I'm pretty sure that a UPS store would be able to box it up if the seller can't stop by a music store.

Steve, the guy in Aurora is close to the Naperville Guitar Center (less then 10 miles) and if he can't get a box there for free......

I'm 10.4 miles from the GC here in the Zoo and I go there once in a while.

With Worsham only a few miles north, you go to Carbondale, Mike? Although I must admit, the babes in bikinis at Crab Orchard Lake on a warm day almost make it worth the stay!
