From my wife. It makes wearing a bass SO easy. Thanks to JDog for the find.

Looks nice. I'll bet it really does the job. And to answer the question directly, nothin'. I've been buying my own Christmas guitar presents all year long:
a Rickenbacker 360/12 string in fireglo finish last April,
a Music Man 110 RD-Fifty amp last July,
and an MXR Carbon Copy analog delay pedal last October. I'd say '09 has been a really good year for me. 8)

Me? I got lots of yummy edibles from neighbors and a lovely handmade necklace from a dear family that I know. But since Tripper no longer gets access to my bank card I had to buy my own lavish new toy - my Danelectro baritone which arrived a little early. Okay, I was impatient.

I picked up a Hofner Contemporary Series Beatle bass and a Bigsby B7 for one of my Casinos. It was a good Christmas for me...hope it was for everyone else.

CJ: You got a retaining wall for Christmas? Nice.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Not exactly gear, but I did get some music related books, the 2009 VG Price Guide, Cleveland Rock & Roll Memories ('60s through '80s, great book, really), and a book called 2000 Guitars The Ultimate Collection; I think they show every Telecaster ever made! The Rickenbacker section is pretty comprehensive, although there are some errors in captioning instruments. There is even a great color photo of the experimental '60s 4001 with the two toasters and 4005 pickguard. :D :D :D My favorite Rick!

As some of you already know, like Jim, I buy gifts for myself, like the LDS cabinet I got the day before Christmas. I think Don stuffed an Ampeg 810 in this thing.
