Fools On Sunday recording this week
Fools On Sunday recording this week
Is recording considered a gig?
Band is all excited and well rehearsed for our second effort at recording. Gonna go analog this time. The way records are supposed to be made. Hoping to get support for a vinyl release.

Actually I found an old 2" tape from 1991 that never saw much use. I'll know later today if it's usable.

Considered a gig? Eh....maybe not, strictly speaking. Whatever they are, I think recording sessions are a lot of fun. Best wishes anyway.

Unfortunately, and appearently, my "old' tape sticks just like that.
Either way, there is tape to be had, and we're quite pleased with the results so far. We're going to wrap up today, and should have some samples up in that old fashioned digital format to share in a couple of weeks.

You can bake the tape at a low temperature in your oven to get rid of the humidity in the tape, this is a well known procedure, but it does not always make the tape usable again. Here is one source of info.

Luckily we were able to throw down some tracks on "fresher" tape
Very happy with the results.
