Don't miss me too much!

Post by gregga41 »

Hi guys,
just a short spiel to let you all know i'm taking a hiatus for a while in regards to music and guitars.
Having spent the last 8 years as a member of this brilliant forum, and the last 3 years running my band ,'77 Sandman, i've decided to spend some quality time with my growing sons. I have made so many wonderfull, lifelong friends here, so i will pop in from time to time. My boys and I are going to restore a classic '70's Oz car, a 1974 Falcon panel van. Spending so much time organising the band, chasing my next Rick, playing gigs and rehearsing, my boys have grown up quickly and want Daddy around to hang with. I'm not leaving the forum, i just won't be here as much as i used to.
So, thanks to everyone i've had the pleasure of meeting here, you guys are the best. Thanks, especially to you Peter!
Here's a preview of what we are attempting to achieve:-

Cheers, Greg! A very noble reason for a prolonged absence. :)

Good luck with the Falcon and enjoy the time with your boys.

Looks like a cool project. Can't help but think of Mad Max when I see that vehicle. Enjoy!
Expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed (and I mean that in an optimistic way).

Hi Greg,

I am sure your family will appreciate the increased attention. Take care, hopefully we can get together again one day on day and bash out a few more tunes.

All the best,

+1! 8)

(the Falcon looks like "Plymouth 'Cuda meets Chevy El Camino" to me! Very cool!)

Greg your humour and heart has been a gift of restoration here. I wish you the very best as you write another chapter but know that you will be missed. I will think of you evertime I bake another batch of Anzacs. Please keep us posted. :)

Just found this Greg. Hats off to you for having your priorities straight. Enjoy the time with the boys. It will pass all too soon and they will be off to college or st start their lives. You will always have these memories you will be building, and a great closeness to your sons. Guitars will always be there to welcome you back when the time is right.

Greg,

Thanks for the time you've spent with us maladjusted Rick freaks, and have a great time with your boys. They do grow up soooo fast....
