How Many Guitars Do You Own?

Post by deaconblues »

Inspired by a thread on another forum. Theres an 11 year old thread on RRF asking the same but I thought I'd update it.

How many guitars (Rickenbacker and non) do you own?

I've got 6:

Rickenbacker 325c58 modified to 2-control
Rickenbacker 330
Highway 1 Stratocaster (Musikraft boat neck, custom electronics) -- my #1
Epiphone Broadway with Bigsby
Jay Turser Violin Bass
Epiphone EJ-160e

I'd actually like to pare the collection down further...something nice about bonding with just a few guitars.

That's what my wife tells me...

Though to be fair to her I do have quite a few....

Mid-90's Fender USA Telecaster
Hand-made, maple, bolt-on neck Silverburst SG Copy
J. Mascis Signature Fender Jazzmaster (the purple one, not the Squier)
Early 80's Daion Savage

PW Custom 1990 Rickenbacker 4003
Fender Japan Deluxe Jaguar Bass

That makes 6, not including my wife's and my son's electrics.

Do my violin, dulcimer, tremeloa, and bouzouki count here? Or is this strictly for guitars? :?:

I maintain that there's no such thing. Too little space/time/money, perhaps.

At 47 and also not a working musician (or even gigging at this point), I'm apparently significantly more insane. :P

About 25% Ricks, 25% Fender, 25% Gibson, 25% "other". (All players, not a "collection".)

If we're counting other instruments: this will get crazy; I definitely own more drum sets than stringed instruments...
