Re: BEATLES ON ITUNES!!!
The Washington concert footage is interesting because they seem to be tuned down a half a step. I wonder if they were saving their voices for TV appearances?

Re: Double Fantasy Stripped
The lovely part of all Lennon's material is him dealing with his feelings up front and out there. Not many artists exposed their feelings for the world to peruse.
John Lennon did.
Very intuitive on your part not only to recognize the subject matter as such, but also to hear the up-frontness (sorry ...

Re: Double Fantasy Stripped
This is like sitting across the chair from John Lennon. Very tender vocal performance. It' so difficult to believe he couldn't stand the sound of his vocals without putting all those effects over them.

Double Fantasy Stripped
Has anyone listened to John Lennon au naturel on his tracks? Been listening on youvalve. Don't know how long they will be available, but like sitting across the room form him. Love not hearing phasing and reverb. What a great voice soft to rock, blues.

Melbourne fires
Aitch,
I have been meaning to check and see if you were okay. I did check in a while back and saw no fire topics.
But... you and your son and your safety have been on my mind. Tell me about your experiences and whether you were unscathed. I think everyone there must have been affected in some way ...

Re: Stolen Rickenbacker 330
I am so sorry for your loss and can relate after losing 6 guitars, an amp,a PA, and speakers to a theft.
Because of Peter and regestering my serial numbers, I got two guitars back within a couple of weeks. It all came down to serial number searches by local police department.

Gary,
You are kinda the Jack Benny of the BBS. And I mean that, in all kindness, as a lurking complement.

Re: "Come Out Tonight"
Kira,
Once again, you take me from 1962, "Please, Please Me," to "The Beatles" (I mean the white album) with the fiddle.
Love the transition...then back again. I am so jealous you know as many fine musicians as you do. I would love to hang in your circles or be in the studio with all your ...

Re: "No Good At Goodbyes"
Kira,
I am a continual lurker, but also a consistant admirer of your creative target.
I just love this one. I am a fan of the two and one half minute rocker. Always sounds easier than it is.
Espescially to do well.
This one is a ROCKET!!!!
Love it...till the cows come home. Great! I also would ...

Re: Stolen Rick and Others
Just wanted to let everyone know a local guitar store and the SAPD located my Rickenbacker (less the bottom strap button and strap) and my Tokai, and they have been returned to me. Still missing other guitars and equipment, but Rickresource Registration and Peter played a huge role in me getting ...

Re: Stolen Rick and Others
Thank you, everyone.
And no collection is pathetic.
I feel all these guitars are connected to me deeply.
We all know which guitar we go for when we want an acoustic, a nasty lead, a clean finger-pick, a neck pickup or a a bridge. These were all a slow year-to-year collection of guitars I could ...

Stolen Rick and Others
Guys and Gals,
Someone stole all my guitars last night. My Rickenbacker 325c58MG (serial # 0307124), Tokai j-160e wannabe, Johnson resonator, MIM Red Stratocaster, Fender Catalina Black, Korean Natural Epiphone Casino, Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Amp, and Mackie PA from my home studio.
