Moving trussrods with my '75 4000

Hi,

is it normal, when I'm loosening the trussrods, that they are moving, or is something broken?

Especially when I'm trying to detach the wrench after tightening the trussrod they both are slipping for 2-3mm.

Bob, I'm just about exploring what I can do with my 4000. When I got it, I took it to our rehearsals and it simply could not keep up with my 2 Fender Precisions or my Alembic. I was disappointed, I could not use it 1:1 like my other basses.

This is me playing my 4000. It works great with a acoustic guitar. Used it for the complete show.

Nice rig. I got a B2-RE and a Fender Bassman 2x15 and I'm very happy with it. I just love the Ampeg tone.

In respect of playing with a pick, I used to loose mine 3 or 4 times every rehearsal. Well, I'm just a little too absent minded for using picks, I guess. :-} So I started to play with fingers ...

The U2 Tour in '89. My mom said, that I was too young. Hey I was 15! Saw them twice later, but they were never as good as they were then IMHO...
