Rickenbacker 381 1992 fretboard break
Hello together, I own a Rickenbacker 381 made in 1992. The string height was much too high, so I adjusted the truss rods a littlebit. What then happened you can see on the pitures I've taken. IMG_8248_1000.jpg IMG_8250_1000.jpg IMG_8251_1000.jpg I did the adjustment this serveral times with other ri...

Re: 650 neck change thickness question.
I've owned two 1993er 650D's which had a flat neck.
After that I played a 2002 and a 2007 model of the 650d and 650s which had the thicker neck.

Re: RRF activity
Part of the reason for the lack of posts is that a lot of folks have drifted off to Facebook. FB is certainly convenient and easy for posting pictures, but I find it a lot more difficult to follow a thread and there seems to be a lot more distractions, etc. But alas, the world moves on. Hopefully, ...

Re: Carl Wilson 360 Limited Edition
Thats right, 250 6-string and 250 12-string guitars.
They've got 3k Toasters (which is very very special) and the weight of the CW's is less than of a usual 360. You can feel the light-weight.
I love this guitar.

Re: Fretboard Wood?
Way back in the early days, there was Brazilian Rosewood, followed by Asian Rosewood, followed by African Rosewood (aka Bubinga). And something else is on it's way. Hello together, I currently try to figure out scince when Rickenbacker used "Brazilian Rosewood", scince when they've used &...

Re: Rickenbacker Japan seller who ships to europe?
the Chinese and the South Koreans are making excellent quality instruments, I have no problem with them, in fact I have two, a Vantage acoustic with cutaway like a Gibson ES-375 which plays and sounds wonderful, made in Korea. I cannot find much information about Vantage online, but the quality of ...

Re: Rickenbacker Japan seller who ships to europe?
And, most of those Duesenberg instruments are made in Korea, IIRC, at least the ones I were looking at. :( I didn't know that... I'm very dissapointed of them... :( I thought about it to buy a red mike campell in the past... But now I have to think about it seriously... I don't like such a company ...

Re: Rickenbacker Japan seller who ships to europe?
hi, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg no matter where it is shipped from. In fact the guitar I've ordered now (360-6) is cheaper (including shipping and taxes) than I would buy a regular 360 in a german store today. Rickenbacker guitars are approx 25% more expensive in germany than in the USA...

Re: Rickenbacker Japan seller who ships to europe?
Except that USA dealers can't ship to Europe... And, Japan has some special colors that aren't available anywhere else... Maybe that's "Why Japan"... Yes, thats the reason, As in my first post described. It was always my dream to own a rickenbacker 360 in white with white bindings and gol...

Re: Replacing Vintage Strap Button With Schaller Button
Not a bad idea to put a felt washer under the button. I put them on my 360. Can't see them, and they sure do protect the paint. Don't know why Ric doesn't make use of those little felt washers under the buttons. The buttons are screwed right up against the paint! My paint actually started to chip t...

Demo: POPHOOKERS – To The Touch
One new demo song of our small band called "pophookers": I used a rickenbacker 620 with 7,4k toasters in combination with an vox ac30 c2 with one greenback and one blue bulldog and a 80's proco RAT2. Look at http://www.pophookers.de/music-lyrics/demo-to-the-touch/ and I hope you like it. T...

Re: 330F's now available in the UK!
I've currently own the 1426811.
Possibly nr 1, 2 or 3 according to number 1426829, am I right?
It's a fireglo. But I don't like this newer fireglo, I more like the older fireglo up to 2007 models and the ones of the 90s.
But thats a matter of taste.
kind regards,
andy

Re: 360W Neck Fit nad Finish
Double sided tape. Although that might work, I wouldn't do it due to the glue discouloring the trc and affecting the wood (and discouloring that as well). Andy, the trc is not under pressure from the screws, making it bent like a bridge? Or is the headstock top not flat or perchance the trc is just...
