If you pull up all 129 of his clips, you'll find "This Feeling Inside". some others and a live version of "When I Get Home", complete with three Burns Buffalo horn guitars, including the white twelve string.

Einar, As I recall, the Searchers closed their only "Ed Sullivan Show" [They were on at the beginning an very end of the show], with a VERY wild version of "Ain't That Just Like Me". They jumped up in the air when they did the guitar break, and yelled, and Chris was flipping his ...

Einar,

Does Terry Sylvester have his own band? Does he play any of the stuff the Hollies did when he was a member?

Roy, They cancelled the second show [9:30], and MAYBE half -filled the place for the 7 P.M show [I brought 9 people, had 1st row seats]. Boulton seats about 260. I heard that ticket sales weren't going well for the Sunday venue, either. The Mamaroneck audience was enthusiastic, but I'm not sure of t...

Serarchers U.S Tour '06

Saw the Searchers on July 13th in Bayshore, N.Y, second of five dates in the New York area [with subsequent shows in Maryland, Vegas and Calif.] Just wondered if anybody on the forum caught any of the shows, and what you thought.

Sheena,

The Searchers did get their name from the John Ford western of the same name. And Buddy Holly got the title of one of his greatest hits from a line the Duke used two or three times in the movie, "That'll be the day!".

The Searchers released "Shakin' All Over" on 1/2 of a live LP on Mercury that was a companion to "Live at the Star Club". It was called "The Searchers Meet the Rattles" [a German band]. There had been a slew of U.S Doo Wop LPs on ther same lines , e.g "The Paragons...

There's a series of Ed Sullivan compilations out in the U.S, and I think "Needles" may be on one [ they only did the one appearance]. You'll do better with "Shindig" shows. They must have been on 4-5 times [ or taped them at one time and dribbled them out] I remember they lip syn...

I stand corrected. Got 'em mixed up.

From the Rockfield Days: "Everything but a Heartbeat", "It's Too Late", "September Gurls".

From earlier:"None Else Could Love Me", "Don't Cha Know", and "Saints and Searchers"

Which version of "Does She Really Care For Me"? I've heard one with Frank on lead, one with Chris.
