Hi,

I recommend:

Crowther Hotcake

Menatone Top Boost in a Can

Lovepedal COT 50

Fulltone OCD

They're all great for your guitar/amp-combination! Give them a try!

Hey John,

The Memory Man is the dogs nuts! I wouldn't even consider using anything else. I just love the modulation. What do you now use for delay?

The vide is pretty new but I'm slowly getting to grips with it. I tried the Dunlop too but found it to be rather muddy. The Vibe jr. retains all ...

Looking good John,

I like pedals, they have character. Ok, they are messy, but so is my hair. It's a part of my style.

I actually use quite a small setup live: Crybaby ->Boss TU-2->Crowther Hotcake->Vintage Rat(or the Top Boost)-> Roger Mayer Voodoo-vibe jr.->Electro-Harmonix Memory Man ...

Hi Paul,

I've done the multi-effects thing and have now got back into pedals! I love to tweak and more than that, I dig being in the fully analog world.

Plus pedals look cool!!

Menatone "Top Boost in a Can". Opinions?

Hi guys,

Has anybody tried one of these pedals. I'm thinking of buying one to use with my Rick 620, LP Standard and AV'62RI Strat. My amp, a Monster El Mariachi 15W, is already Class A so do you think this will go over the "top"(lol)?

I'm looking to have the Monster set on a clean tone, add a ...

I must add, although I haven't tried a Rick bass but judging from the tone on records, the Rick must be the best bass for a guitarist. It sounds great with a pick and and cuts through a mix allowing the player to hear his/her instrument in a more guitarish fashion. Do you agree?

Yep,

Judging by the picture I see you know what the prog-tractor-tone is all about ; ) If I can hold on until Christmas and finish my MSc then I'm sure I deserve a Ric!!!

Jeff, I was thinking maybe the Sans Amp could do the job. It already has some of that tone (read Chris Squire) I'm looking ...

Thanks guys,

I think I'll try and write my masters thesis by christmas and if I finish it by then, then I can reward myself with a 4003MG/JG! What do you think?

The only other problem is that there are very few Ricks on sale here in Finland. 2 new at this moment, both guitars. I'll probably ...

Guitar player GASsing for a 4003...

Hi everybody,

I'm new to the bass forum, usually hang out at guitars ; ) Anyway, what do you think about a guitar player buying a 4003 for making demos at home and lying on the couch, playing and watching TV? I don't own a bass so I usually borrow our bass players second bass to make demos etc ...

Wow, just tried a Marshall 1974X

I have to share this information with you....

I haven't been a fan of Marshalls for ages. I've had a few, a valvestate years ago and a JCM2000 DSL 401 a few years back, but once I tried a Class A-amp I couldn't wait to get rid of it. Now I own a Monster El Mariachi, a handmade, point-to-point ...

Missing bridge cover screws

Hi!

Dang, I seem to have lost the screws to the bridge cover of my 620 after I removed the cover. I reckon the screws have dropped out of the case at some point.

Is there any way of getting replacement screws? I was thinking of putting the cover back on again. I'm so angry at myself for not ...

Chris- Yep, really sad! A car paint-shop below us had an electrical malfunction in their drying oven and the whole place was up in flames in one instant. Lost our studio and all our gear. Really sad. I'll have to post some pictures of a really funny looking 360... not mine but the only burnt Ric ...

Interesting thing!

After all my old equipment was destroyed when our practice place burnt down last autumn, I have aquired 3 new guitars in a very short while. A Ric 620MB, a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Fender American Vintage '62 reissue.

All great guitars but the funny thing is that although being expensive ...

Hi again,

Thanks for all your replies. Do you think it will be the FG:s that will hold their values the best or can special edition colours become expensive collectable just because they are special editoins?

Anyway, my favourite colours are definately MB, MG and JG. BB looks good on some ...
