It currently states next year's color as "? (BEC), with a picture of a RIC that changes colors. They're messing with us Image

Is Voxtalks dead? I received an e-mail that they're rewriting their software to be more secure against hackers, and that they are attempting to get their members re-registered. I plan on doing that once they send me the instructions.

I think John Hall once wrote either here or on VoxTalks that to produce a 4005 we as a consumer would have to plunk down money in the $3,500 range to buy one, and this was a few years ago. Might even cost up to $4K now, especially with the appointments you describe. I just wonder how many people ...

TI Flats sound really, really great on my Fender P-Basses. However, my RIC is still strung with rounds. I used to have Pyramids on my RIC but I yearned for the Geddy growl, so the rounds went back on. I may try TIs on my RIC someday just for grins.

Leftybass, I agree with you, I am a huge Geddy Lee fan, and I saw him with Rush on this last tour and I could not hear his bass either, unlike the last time I saw him over 20 years ago during the Moving Pictures tour where you could clearly hear his 4001.

He does some funky stuff with Beck. I saw him on SNL playing "Devil's Haircut" when Beck was on, he is animated and is a great bass player.

Kid Rock

Check out Kid Rock's latest video, "Feel Like Makin' Love", the cover of the famous Bad Company tune. His bass player is playing a RIC 4003 JG. It's in VH1's rotation.

When I saw Rush last year, the stage hands kept going on stage and putting quarters in the dryers to keep them going. T-shirts were tumbling during the whole concert, and at the end they opened up the dryers and tossed some t-shirts out into the crowd.
