What about having clear plexiglass sheets on the front of the guitars. And then, instead of finishing the guitars with a color of the year, they can somehow create a way to color the inside of the guitar. Maybe with little lights, or LEDS, or something. No, maybe I am just dreaming.
"Here he is, come to pay homage to the Rickenbacker display!" (Said to me by owner Bruce at the "Great House of Guitars" in Rochester, NY)

As I think about Rickenbacker colors and John Hall's tip to Forum participants, I am thinking that Azureglo might be a possibility.
My reasons include the recent conclusion of an extended brown tone (Montezuma Brown) which might leave Walnut and Autumnglo out of the running. A stunning color from the past was Azureglo which I think could be a strong contender for 2005.
As history will not doubt show, this reasoning may be flawed and is pure conjecture on my part, but I thought it would be fun to predict Azureglo, nonetheless. It certainly would be a departure from the trend during the past several years.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Do you think they would do AzureGlo with Midnight Blue still available? I know they are different colors but I think they are close enough to attract the same buyers.
While I like AzureGlo, I hope the color of the year is something very different from what is available today. Still hoping for "reverse trim" option to return
