Well, I had never heard of this Cites II regulation.
Was trying to purchase a Roger from Germany and the dealer informed me he can not send any guitars with rosewood out of the EU.
Interesting that it applies to vintage instruments as well.

Does dry winter weather effect it as well?

Re: Red undercoat/sealer? 1990 330 Jetglo
I own a production facility and there is the right way, my way and the way when I'm not around. I have seen so many of these Jetglo with red underneath. Many are refins and obvious (under the TRC and cavity looks terrible), but to do a refin that looks factory Jetglo is not easy. Jetglo has that gre...

Re: Kluson Deluxe / Ric Deluxe??
Replacement part IMO. The Ric deluxe came around in about 1990 with the John Lennon and late run RM. The early RM had the Schaller deluxe.

Re: Rick 450 body through vs set neck
I agree, I would hold out for a neck through. That guitar is in mint condition which is nice, but the price is fair at best. The neck through construction was a big advertising part of early Ric 400 series guitars, and one of the features that made them unique. My 2 cents.

Re: The best money I ever spent
Well, one just fell into my lap. I just picked this up: https://reverb.com/item/2135721-rickenbacker-360w-walnut I was interested in the Lollar Broilers, and it also had the Mastery bridge, and Hipshot grip lock tuners as a surprise. And with the original bridge, wiring harness and tuners as a bonus...

Re: Correction Needed
Brian, I just bought a PG and as always, I was reviewing the register to see if the guitar makes sense for the era. The register is awesome!

Re: Greetings from WI newbie
Joseph welcome aboard. I believe the nut width on a Fender and Rickenbacker are the same, 1 5/8. But a Fender is wider as you progress down, so wider at the 12th fret is the usual measurement cited. Gibson is wider at the nut, 1 3/4. But this is all from memory so could be wrong.

Maybe its a compromise between color of the year and keeping up with orders. Color of the half decade.

It's a bit rough for a collector guitar. And no mention of the certificate. If I was spending the money, I would rather pay more and get a mint one, with all the goodies.

Re: 350SH Question
I feel like the signature models have fallen a bit in value over the last few years. The 325c58 has really shot up, and there are other limited collector guitars made by RIC that have crowded the "rare" guitars. SH for $5000 was the norm, but seems more like $4000 these days. Will it go up...
