The great man himself John Hall also replied to me on the Rickenbacker Forum confirming that it is Fireglo and that Amber Fireglo was introduced to replicate what my Guitar has. He says mine is the real deal.

I must admit that I've been looking at the colour and wondering if it is Amber Fireglo or if there is an Amberglo colour. Looking at the two Guitars together, there's a huge difference between them.

I got a Rickenbacker Manual which was still sealed in plastic along with it's polishing cloth as well as other documents. I know these don't belong to this Guitar as there was a piece of paper inside saying it was a 4003 bass along with it's serial number.

I watched some more YouTube videos and reviews of the Boss and really wasn't getting a good feeling so, .......I bit the bullet and bought a Janglebox JB-1 from their website today.

My wife is going to kill me.....

I can't really afford the small fortune required for a Janglebox. I've been looking at a Boss Compression Sustainer SC-3 pedal on YouTube and it sounds pretty good. I can't find anything on YouTube that shows it in action with a Rickenbacker 12 string.
