PS I didn't mean to imply that you were using the forum to tout for business, either - I know that you've offered a wealth of experience and help to people on here without any hint of wanting to be paid for it. Please take it as a throwaway comment that came out wrong and accept my apologies...

Sorry, Paul, think we're a bit at cross purposes here - my original comment was made with the 'can of spray paint and an idle afternoon' sort of paint job in mind - i.e. something that would take you a lot longer to put right than it would to do in the first place - rather than the sort of work you ...

Mitch,

It's not just someday you'd like to - you absolutely must do! You hit a chord and it sings - but only if you've done the work to fret it right!

A lot of people like the 660/12 neck 'cos it's a bit wider than the usual Ric 12 neck (which is narrow compared to just about any other 12 ...

So Who Influences You?

Came across this via This Is True ( http://www.thisistrue.com ). I have no idea how it works (half the time its Java, or whatever, slows my Mac to a crawl...), or how it calculates how bands/movies relate to one another, but I agree with most of what it tells me. Enjoy...

Ever with an eye to a sales opportunity, eh Mr W?

I long ago decided that I'd start decorating my guitars when I got to the point that I could play them so well that there was little else worth doing with them.

Still waiting...

I'll go with Seth here - I didn't play a 12 until well after I'd learnt to play a 6, and I was glad I'd waited. Not only could I do the basics, but my fingers were a bit stronger...I think if I'd started on a 12 the difficulty of fretting and tuning the 12 strings, added to the usual frustrations of ...

Did this idea get anywhere yet? I'm really unlikely to be able to make it on 25 Sept (life is busy and, like Kelly, I don;t want to be blown off stage...), but I figure if it can be made to happen once then a repeat is on the cards...

Am I allowed to post on my own thread? Is that the forum equivalent of talking to yourself?

Anyway, if I read one more description of the jack socket on a guitar which involves the word 'input'...

Hmmm, Kent is clearly a 360 fan rather than a 330 one. I think I prefer the 330 because it's a bit more angular than the 360...but then I really wanted my 620 because of its 'crestingwavedness', and once I had that I got to considering what to get next (because one is, it seems, never enough) and ...

Well, I did indeed have a go - put in a bid for what I paid for my Mex Tele and still didn't make reserve. And then someone came along and had it away for the BiN...

Thanks for the reply, Kent - and it looks like your opinion is supported by the relative lack of interest in the auction for the 430 on eBay UK.

Seems a shame, though - I like the idea of a Ric that's more or less a Telecaster...still 17 hours to go; perhaps I will risk a flutter...
