Ever with an eye to a sales opportunity, eh Mr W?
I long ago decided that I'd start decorating my guitars when I got to the point that I could play them so well that there was little else worth doing with them.
Still waiting...
How hard is it to paint your guitar?

Perhaps my blunt rejoinder was misinterpreted.
Sales opportunity? Nope. I do it for fun and don't need to make a living at it, so my friends get a tremendous amount of work for very little money, comparatively speaking.
But when I see somebody claiming, as you do, that it's easier to strip a guitar than to paint one, well, I jump at the chance to educate. So I offered to employ you, in jest, of course.
FYI, on average, it takes about 4 hours to completely "unpaint" a guitar, and something like 20 to paint one, depending on color.
I paint much better than I play, but I have lots of fun doing both.

Sorry, Paul, think we're a bit at cross purposes here - my original comment was made with the 'can of spray paint and an idle afternoon' sort of paint job in mind - i.e. something that would take you a lot longer to put right than it would to do in the first place - rather than the sort of work you do.

Hey, no problem, Mr. Mike!
Oddly, before I edited my last post, my first sentence read:
"Mike, I think we're at cross purposes here."
Great minds think alike? Separated at birth?
Call Scully and Mulder.
