Re: HH Electronics VS series Amps, experiences??

I used to have a '74 HH combo which died whenenever it heated up.

The music department at my school had a combo that blew up when I played my bass through it.

Rock and roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replacement pickup for a 4000

I've just found myself a 1979 4000 for a decent price but it was missing its original pickup.

I have read in the past, although i could not find anything now, that the 4000 model had an overwound pickup that sounded differently to just turning the neck pickup off in a 4001.

Is this correct, and ...

Re: Macca isolated bass tracks - WOW!

Fantastic. I wouldn't say that i was a huge Beatles fan but "A Day in the Life" is in my list of all time favourite tracks. That's from any band, not just the beatles.

Really interesting hearing it this way.

I bought a BA410 cab to use with my Hartke HA5500. The amp was rated at 500w RMS. I even emailed Behringer to see if the 1000w they quoted was RMS or peak. They told me it was RMS.

I like a trebly sound - clear but with bottom. In 3 gigs I managed to shatter all 4 of the aluminium drivers.

I ...

Lemmy's original bass

Cool. a lot of information I didn't know about.

But.

Does anyone have the definitive answer about that maple fretboard?

Is it merely a modification for a damaged original one or... gasp... fake.

Okay, at the risk of being unpopular, no one seems to have discussed Lemmy's original Rick in any great detail.

Bought off a guy whom he reckons stole it, maple fretboard - I would like to know if it really is a genuine Rick as I have never ever seen a maple fretboard on a Rick ever.

Obviously ...

I tried all different picks but found that Herco Flex 75s are the best for me. (CS uses them as well)

I've been playing my basses progressively higher up for the last couple of years. I used to be a midrange guy but especially since I got my 6 string, I've been wearing it higher up and find it is more comfortable.

i watched a video with the blonde one (Billy Sheehan) who said that you generally ...

Finally, a replacement for my 4003 BB

After selling my beloved 4003BB due to it not being as comfortable as I hoped it would be, here is its replacement.

Anyway, back to the original thread.

I've just been listening to the Willie Dixon tracks, "You need love" and "Bring it on home" and they are more or less "Whole lot of love" and "Bring it on home"

I didn't have time to have another go at this again until now. It seems that the battery goes to the ring and the other 2 fight over the other 2 connections.

Floyd before and after Syd were like 2 completely different bands.

Before, they were quite amusing in a way, i don't mean to be disrespectful, but songs like Bike and Biding My Time were brilliant yet childish at the same time. There always seems to have been a lot of fun that went into these ...
