Given his (poor) attitude, I can't say that I'm sad to see it pulled. Guy was a total tool....jps wrote:Well, I just checked out the link, and as it it missing, my guess is it has been taken down as being a counterfeit item.

Is this a Fake Ric TRC?
Spotted this listing and was interested. So I reached out to the seller and asked if it's a real, OEM Ric TRC or a 3rd party reproduction. He said that he didn't know and told me to just buy it or not.
I sent him back a cordial response telling him why it's so important to know and explained on how ...

As Per Requested...Pics of my Autumnglo (satin) 77 4001
A member or two requested pics of my 77 in another thread here. Here are some pics and also a description of some work recently done to her. Since the pics, I also corrected the one saddle that was on backwards (and gave her a full setup). Stupid low, buzz-free action!

Re: My 77 4001 Has a Bit if Tail-Lift....Recommendations?
Today I spent some time with the stock (OEM) bridge and filed down the saddles, which was far easier than I expected.
The saddle material is quite soft and I was able to cut the slightly deeper channels rather quickly. The end result was EXACTLY what I was looking for! The action is now low, free ...

My 77 4001 Has a Bit if Tail-Lift....Recommendations?
I just got the truss rods and slight neck separation attended to by the infamous Kevin Brubaker. Neck is flat, frets are level and all is good there.
He got the action pretty low, but the bridge adjustments are now bottomed-out and would love to bring the action down just a bit more as I know the ...

4001 Replacement Truss Rods - Where to Buy Now?
So I know that "Boutique" used to sell them for $40 plus shipping as I recall, but the website says that 4001 truss rods are no longer in stock.

Absolutely love my LDS cab. It's a 2x10" Faital with 2x6.5" on top with a Patterson 3 way crossover. I use it for probably 6 out of 10 gigs. I use my Epifani UL610 (and a full rack rig) for XL gigs with XL stages.
