4001 Replacement Truss Rods - Where to Buy Now?

Post by Quadzilla »

So I know that "Boutique" used to sell them for $40 plus shipping as I recall, but the website says that 4001 truss rods are no longer in stock.

Is there an alternative? The ones in my bass are "medium-boogered". Ends are slightly bent and the nuts are a little stripped. They prob can be fixed with some effort, but I'd prefer just to replace them them. Anyone know where to get them now? Thanks!!!

I wonder what a brand new set from 1983, that is stashed away safely, could go for?

A pair of new old stock truss rods have to be nearly priceless, wouldn't you think? :D
