Return to the Fold?
Hi Folks...it has been several years away from the forum, but I felt inclined to come back, having just purchased a new Mapleglo 360/6 (lefty of course) to go with my beloved 12 string (started life as a Mapleglo 330/12, then Paul Wilcynski performed a wonderful conversion to basically a vintage ...

Re: Need a Northern California Rick Tech
Okay....is there anybody on the West Coast that can do a complete set-up on a Rick 330/12?

Need a Northern California Rick Tech
My 330/12 is in need of a complete set-up, and I'm not the guy to do it. I live in the Fresno, California area and I'm not aware of anyone locally that can do quality work on Ricks. Anyone in the Bay Area or reasonable proximity to Fresno that does quality set-ups on Ricks?

New Bass Arriving...more climate queries
I realize this topic has been beat to death, but mine might be a bit unique. I just poached a lefty Fender Precision Bass on "the Bay." It is actually a Fender Frankenstein, with a neck from an American 2005 P Bass, the pickguard and pickup from an American 2008 P Bass and a body from a 70's reissue ...

Phil Jones Bass Buddy
Anyone out there have any experience/thoughts/opinions with or regarding the Phil Jones Bass Buddy? I already own the PJB Acoustic AG 100 Cub (2X5, 100 watts). If I put a Bass Buddy on the front end, would I essentially have the same thing as a Briefcase, but in two parts? Does that make any sense ...

Rick 12 Amplification Query
My Vox AC15 is gone, and I've been playing my 330/12 directly into the Janglebox, a Marshall echo pedal then into an Avalon U5 DI then into the house. This kinda works pretty well, but I'm thinking I'd like to find a small amp low on features/all about tone. I do not need power, and I certainly do ...

Phil Jones Bass Briefcase FS
If anyone wants one, I've got it. Like new, perfect little amp for any number of instruments. Check out the Phil Jones Bass website, or feel free to email me at [email protected] for info, photos, etc.

Paul...that's one of the finest photos I've ever seen on a forum. Is that a Rickenbacker sitar?

Re: Roger McGuinn in Davis Last Night
Just thought I'd add another comment. At the RM concert I purchased an autographed copy of "Live in Spain." Having finally had the opportunity to listen to it all the way through, I can say unequivocally that he sounds considerably better in person than what you hear on the live CD. I was very ...

Roger McGuinn in Davis Last Night
Saw Roger McGuinn's solo concert at the beautiful Mondavi Center in Davis, California last night. This was his first show since breaking his wrist last December, and it was wonderful. The place was packed.

Re: Power for Janglebox
Steve: I probably shot off my mouth about noise. The Janglebox is a vital part of my rig, and I couldn't love it more...amazing pedal with both my Rick 330/12 as well as a Fender Strat. The single coils on the Strat ('54 Custom Shop P/Us) are probably more to blame, although I wouldn't think of ...

Re: Celestion Blue vs Wharfdale in Vox AC15CC1?
I'm on my second AC15. The first had the Wharfdale, my current one has the Celestion. I absolutely love the amp, and the Celestion is perfect. Whether it is worth the extra $300? Probably so. I see no reason why you would not be able to play the AC15CCX at the same low volume as the AC15CC1. Just ...

Re: Power for Janglebox
Interesting. I love my Janglebox, but quiet it is not...at least with a 9 volt battery. If I find center positive 500 mA 9v adapter , will the hissing cease?

Power for Janglebox
Any tips on where to locate an AC adapter center pin positive for the Janglebox? Seems to be easier said than done.
