Phil Jones Bass Buddy

Post by junglejem »

Anyone out there have any experience/thoughts/opinions with or regarding the Phil Jones Bass Buddy? I already own the PJB Acoustic AG 100 Cub (2X5, 100 watts). If I put a Bass Buddy on the front end, would I essentially have the same thing as a Briefcase, but in two parts? Does that make any sense at all?

Any thoughts on the Bass Buddy would be greatly appreciated.

PJB Acoustic AG 100 CUB has different drivers, than drivers in Briefcase. Phil Jones uses many different, but similar looking drivers for different boxes to maximize performance. The surround materials, counts of voice coil wounds, voice coil former material, magnet materials...they could all be different.
I have no experience with Bass Buddy or Briefcase, I play PJB SixPak combo + couple PJB amps and boxes with Piranha drivers, they are great for Rickenbacker basses.http://sweb.cz/frflanyi/PJB24B%2B8T.jpg
