Got a New 4003

One happy camper here. Wednesday night got home from practice where I blistered my finger tips. Have not done that in years. Knew it was happening but was having way to much fun to stop or switch to a pick. Anyway when I got home and decided to see what was up here. There was a post about the new ...

I finnally own a Rickenbacker

I found a 77 Mapleglo at a local shop and I had to buy it. Didn't have any choice I had to have it I think you know what I mean. I probably paid too much for it but it is in very nice shape. The neck is a little heavy. More than I am use to but it sounds awesome. I have taken it to practice in both ...

74 Mapleglo 4001 value?

I had a show tonight and stopped at a local music store to pick up some strings and things. Any way I had to go into the back room where they keep the Basses. Low and behold they had a 74 mapleglo 4001 that looked to be in very nice shape. So I had to plug it in it sounded VERY nice and played well ...

Any intonation problems, dead sounding strings with those Pyramids? For that kind of money I would hate to expierence the problems I have had so far with the two different sets I have tried. Thanks.

What size strings are you using Bob?. The Rotosound flats I am using are 45-105. I wish I could find these Pyramids locally. They sound like they might be what I am looking for.

Flat wound Question

One of the ways that I justified buying A new Rickenbacker was that I could go with a different sound on my other bass. My other bass is a Schecter C-4. I was using Rotosound roundwounds on this it sounded pretty good A little to much on the trebly side but pretty good. I put a set of Rotosound flat ...

The wait is killing me

This is my first time posting here. I have been hanging out for awhile now reading and soaking up the atmosphere. A few weeks ago I decided to correct a mistake I made 24 years ago. When I was 17 I bought my first real Bass. It was at Kennally Keys in Mountlake Terrace Wa. They had two that I was ...
