This info is for an upcoming book on Beatles instruments that is going to leave every other Beatles book in the dust. We have info on what instruments were used, and played by whom, on EVERY SINGLE BEATLES SONG EVER RECORDED EXCEPT TICKET TO RIDE. This info is holding us up. I my self have always ...

I don't understand the "Chicken to ride" cartoon video, and the connection to the original post; is their some kind of link to Beatle instrumentation, or is it just a really stupid cartoon!? Thanks, Christian

Ok, one guy can hear the octave string, one guy can't (Don't I have ANYTHING better to do than try and find out if one string on a 12 string guitar is heard or not-like watching paint dry?) I'm still looking for cold, hard facts, NOT people's opinions (Although I do appreciate the input) so I'm ...

Guys, I'm really anxious to get closure on this "Ticket to ride" thing. Was it ever established which guitar was used for the intro, etc? GOOD POINT about not being able to hear the octave string on the very first note; occasionally I'll miss the octave on a down stroke, but this is hard to say ...

That part is done all on the B & E strings, and could most certainly be the 360/12! Christian

Ticket to ride

Hi Guys- Anybody know why George never used the Ricky on this live? I notice on Sullivan and Shea stadium he doesn't. Was this so he could more easily play Paul's guitar breaks in the song? I thought this would be the best place to go for such info. Thanks! Christian

Hey Gary- Don't feel bad about that "Can't buy me love" solo, it's double tracked, and about half of the second track does not sync up with the first track!! Kinda like it that way though; alot of Beatle (And others) mistakes often make the tune. Christian

"Prudence" is way near the top my list too; incredible song. I'm thinking double tracked Casino on this, especially since John played the bluegrassy part. Some kind of early flange effect here as well, maybe Leslie? (maybe somebody can ask her!!-Sorry.) I'm open to comments here, I'd certainly like ...

I go to Olga; all of 'em. I ALWAYS wind up wadding up what I print out, and throwing it in the trash. In the time spent searching, printing, wadding, ink wasting, and trashing, I've learned the damn thing by ear. I looked up "Everybody's Talkin'", (It's faster than the "Turn" solo, and bordering on ...

Steve- "The Night Before" I think is Paul's finest Beatle vocal. Great choice! Benjamin- I thought I was alone on "Come together"; I know what John was trying to do, but the Fabs didn't have quite the right kind of chops I think to pull it off "Swampy & maybe a little CCR". A little more time on it ...

What's the deal with the 330 nut, and how come the 360's are not fitted with the tad extra spacing, especially when it's a more deluxe instrument as it were? Thanks! Christian

Yes Mike! "Long, Long, Long". GORGEOUS. Arguably the most beautiful Beatles song (I think "In My Life" is the actual best) Fascinating choices here; very intrigued to see "I should have known better" listed as a favourite. This to me, is a very predictible chord progression (Especially for a band ...

Ooh that's pretty Brian! I'm a 360/12 Byrds guy, but that 660 is absolutely gorgeous. Really stunning. Christian (Wishing the 360 neck was even just a tad wider at the nut!!)
